What is Film crew on location visa?

Film actors, producers, directors and technicians employed by an overseas firm may qualify for permit-free employment provided they are coming for location sequences only.

A film crew includes people essential to the production of the film like actors, producers, directors and technicians. On location means not in a sound stage or a studio. If you are part of a Film crew who want to come to the United Kingdom for other work you will need a work permit. This visa is normally granted for a period of 12 months but can be extended.
